Why We Started
In 2023, a New York State Department of Labor survey surfaced a painful contradiction: employers across the region couldn't hire fast enough, yet thousands of motivated adults couldn't get through the door.
The problem wasn't willingness. It was credentials, confidence, and a system that wasn't built for people navigating real barriers — veterans re-entering civilian life, justice-impacted individuals, young adults without a career foothold, and long-term unemployed adults who just needed someone to bet on them.
DoConnect was founded in 2024 to close that gap.
Not with a job board. Not with a résumé drop. With real certifications in high-demand trades — OSHA 30, construction site safety, NYS security guard licensing — combined with the workplace readiness training that determines whether someone keeps a job, not just gets one.
Every graduate leaves with credentials employers are actively looking for, a career action plan, and a team still in their corner 6 to 12 months after graduation.
These conditions don't stop at state lines.
The same employment barriers, the same hiring gaps, the same underserved communities exist everywhere — and that's why DoConnect has expanded to Winterville, North Carolina. Same mission. Same model. A new community that deserves the same chance.

The People Behind DoConnect
DoConnect is an innovative provider of workforce and employment training, founded in 2024 and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a path to meaningful employment. Our small but dedicated team brings together experience in education, social services, and community outreach.

Our understanding that success starts with training and development. We have staff certified in Ready, Set, Work training. We partner with licensed trainers to certify students in Security Guard training, OSHA 30, Flagger, and Site Safety.
